    Its "test" not "täst" in swedish anyway so this is the price you have to pay for incorrect spelling.

    Martin: :) I assume you're making a joke, but without smileys or a meat face one can never be quite sure. If not: yes, I'm aware of that. It made for a nice example.

    I have a related problem with Thunderbird and Leopard. When sending an e-mail a popup shows asking if I like to send in UTF-8 or not. What is really annoying is that this popup also is shown when typing if I wait too long. If I chose to send in UTF-8 the receiver get messed up Swedish characters.
    Does anyone else have the same problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?

    i have kinda same issue... well, my language is Turkish and locale tr_TR.UTF-8... sort is not working... same works on Ubuntu but not in macOs (leopard/snowleopard)... its like terminal is not taking care of locale / LC_* or LANG... i did a blog post about but its in Turkish. http://vigoyla.blogspot.com/2009/11/leopard-sno...

    ç , ğ , ı and some other more... i tried tons of stuff, used ports and tried via coreutils ( gnu sort etc... )... none of them is working... any idea?
